Sharp Shots for the Weekend

College Football

Washington (-1.5) vs. Michigan -110 on Draftkings

We like Washington to bounce back at home against Michigan after dropping a close one to Rutgers last week. Michigan’s offense has been less than stellar through the first five weeks of the season.

Teaser Pittsburgh ML at UNC, Navy -6.5 at Air Force +170 on Draftkings

UNC and Air Force both haven’t looked too hot to start the season. The lines for both Navy and Pittsburgh have been creeping higher and higher, so to play it safe, we’re going with a teaser combining the two.

Florida Gators ML vs. UCF +115 on Draftkings

The Florida Gators have been off to a brutal start after getting blown out by #8 Miami in the season opener and taking a 13 point loss to #25 Texas A&M. They’re coming off a bye week facing a UCF team that just lost to unranked Colorado by 27 at home.

We like the Gators outright in the Swamp this week. They’re next 6 after this one are against #4 Tennessee, Kentucky, #5 Georgia, #2 Texas, #13 LSU, and #12 Ole Miss. So they could really use a win here.

MLB

Phillies’ Bryce Harper 2+ Bases +110 on Fanduel

Bryce Harper is on a heater the past couple of weeks, recording at least one hit in 4 out of the Phillies past five games. The game he did not record a hit was against the Nationals where he only had one at bat.

They’re matching up with the Mets after the Mets defeated the Brewers in the Wild Card Round. During that series, the Mets gave up 8.7 hits/game. So we like Bryce Harper to get a hit, and we’re taking the juice at 2+ Bases.

NFL

Jets WR Mike Williams OVER 2.5 Receptions -120 on Draftkings

Mike Williams has 4 and 3 receptions in his last two games. He started the season on a snap count restriction due to his ACL tear last year, and we think the odds aren’t factoring in his increased routes since logging 1 and 0 in his first two games with the Jets.

On top of that, the Vikings currently have the worst pass defense in the league, giving up just about 275 yards per game through the air. The Jets are averaging 35.7 pass attempts per game through their last three, and we like at least three of those to be completions to Mike Williams.

Even if Rodgers can’t go, Tyrod Taylor is a more than capable quarterback to get this done.

Cardinals RB James Conner To Score +100 on Draftkings

We normally don’t like to back touchdown scorers. Touchdowns are so situational in football, and you’re lucky if a team can get 3-4 of them total.

That being said, they may be the most fun bet in all of sports betting. And James Conner has scored in 8 of his last 9 games.

The 49ers have only allowed 3 rushing touchdowns so far this year, so this is far from a lock. But at +100, we’re riding.

Seahawks (-6.5) at Giants -120 on Caesars

This line opened at Seahawks -3 and has quickly moved to 6.5. Even at 7 on some books.

The Seahawks barely escaped the Patriots and Broncos with wins, so we think the -6.5 line makes sense. But with Malik Nabers looking like a scratch for Sunday, we don’t think the Giants are going to be able to get anything going on offense.

Rams WR Tutu Atwell OVER 3.5 Receptions -130 on Draftkings

We’re riding the same pick from last week. Despite Atwell going for 4 receptions and 82 yards on 6 targets, this line hasn’t moved .

The Packers pass defense is currently in the bottom half of the league. They’ve also given up 8 pass touchdowns through 5 weeks, so sprinkling on a Rams WR to score wouldn’t be the worst play.
